My cat, Opha May, told me that she wanted a bed made out of wool. How did I learn this, you ask? As I stacked batts of wool to spin into yarn, she layed on top no matter how many times I shooed her away. It looked like she was the main character in The Princess and the Pea. After unceasingly telling me it was "her" bed even though it was clearly my inventory, I caved in and gave her her own wool to make a bed in. She happily ever after left my batts alone.Â
Moral of the story: Opha doesn't like laying on synthetic materials; she demands the connection to nature, the smell of sheep wool aged by the seasons, dust, dirt, and lanolin, and the bounce of its fleece. She's my muse and inspiration for starting the pet bed line.Â
